Jenny Paul

  • Title: Development Assistant, WIN Recovery
  • Reason for joining AFP: I am new to the community of Champaign and also the field of fundraising.  I really like the mentoring aspect and would appreciate the guidance professionally. I believe the membership will help me foster new relationships in the community with my organization. Personally I feel that I will get to know this community and feel more of a part of something by becoming a member.  I don't have much to offer in the field of fundraising however I do have other experiences that I feel would benefit AFP as well.

Heidi Zulauf-Mulderink

  • Title: AFP VP of Membership, Strategic Engagement Leader and Founder of HeidiEsther.com
  • Reason for joining AFP: Yes, it’s true. I was a student and am a long-time C-U townie. I am fiercely dedicated to creating a healthier environment for humans, animals, and plants in our area. I believe AFP-ECI provides the tools, the support, and the leadership opportunities to evolve into my Best Fundraising Self. And, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love making real connections over a hot cup of coffee?

Alyse Knust

  • Title: Senior Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving at Millikin University
  • Reason for joining AFP: Being a member of AFP-ECI will not only help me to develop my professional skills but connect me with colleagues across our region with similar careers and experiences. While my position at Millikin University initially was focused on alumni engagement and events, I have recently taken on a more direct role in our fundraising efforts, which I very much enjoy. The resources available through AFP will help me gain the confidence and knowledge to better serve my constituents, colleagues, and institution. I look forward to becoming a contributing member of the organization and getting to know its membership.

Kirk Builta

  • Title: Executive Director, The Champaign County Farm Bureau Foundation
  • Reason for joining AFP: As a non-profit executive, and fundraiser, you often feel like you are on an island without others in the organization to discuss big ideas or share resources with. I look forward to connecting with the local AFP network to share advice, ideas, best practices, and more so that we can help all of our organizations grow.
