We're gathering some of our community's most generous philanthropists to share more about their charitable giving experiences--the good, the bad and the ugly.

We'll moderate the conversation and ask all the burning questions we ALL have as fundraisers. Join us for this luncheon.


Theresa Green is currently the Director of Carle Experience and has been with Carle Health for over 12 years in various nursing and patient experience roles. She is passionate about the resources available in the Champaign-Urbana community and has been involved with various community organizations including United Way. She currently serves on the Champaign County CASA board of directors. Theresa and her husband Randy live in Champaign with their two children.

Jane Hays has lived in CU for most of her life. She is a life insurance professional with The Downey Group, founded by her husband, Dave Downey. Previously she was a partner at Thomas Mamer & Haughey. Jane received all her education from UIUC. She has been on the board of many organizations, including United Way, the Carle Foundation, State Universities Retirement System, Illinois Board of Higher Education, Clark Lindsey, Delta Dental of Illinois, The Uni High Advisory Board, and Illinois Humanities. Today, Jane is passionate about planning a nonprofit digital media company called KOKO Media, covering Illinois business news. Jane has three beloved children and two grandsons.

Wynne Korr moved to Champaign in 2002 to become Dean of the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She served 15 years and retired in 2017. She has served on the boards of GCAP, United Way, the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois, and Sinai Temple. She currently is the lead volunteer for the Community Solutions Incubator at the Community Foundation and serves on the Community Impact Committee of United Way. She is on the Executive Committee for the local chapter of the State University Annuitants Association. Yes, she has failed at having a quiet retirement! She and her dog Lady love their walks in their neighborhood. 

Kim Martin is a founding partner of the accounting firm, Martin Hood, which has been in existence since September 1, 1982. He has been instrumental in the start-up of many businesses as well as succession planning and liquidation of business situations relative to a variety of clients. Kim has also worked with many clients on business consulting, tax planning, and estate planning needs. He is a member of many profession organizations including the Illinois CPA Society, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and he is the Former President of the Eastern Illinois Estate Planning Council. He has been involved in the community serving as Former President and current member of Champaign West Rotary, Co-Chair of the United Way of Champaign County 2010 annual campaign, Former President of the Board of Directors of the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club, Former President and current member of the Champaign Country Club. He and his wife Denise live in Champaign and love spending time with their family and friends.
